What is JamTank?
JamTank is a collective of urban musicians and music enthusiasts in Malaysia. JamTank.com is the platform for bands and fans alike to communicate and share ideas in a multitude of ways - either by participating in the Urbanity forum, writing an original article, submitting reviews, uploading mp3s, participate in gigs and others.
Who initiated JamTank?
A group of urban musicians and enthusiasts who saw a need for an Internet-based music community in Malaysia. People who run JamTank have permanent ‘day jobs’ and are involved in JamTank part-time. Therefore, they seek out whatever help they can get to run JamTank.
How can I help out?
Simple - just volunteer to write for us - as long as it is related to music.We also need volunteers for a number of offline activities. Of course, monetary donations are also welcome! =)
Are there any ‘offline’ activities organised by JamTank?
We are planning gigs as we go along. We also plan to have a free-jamming session between members (nicknamed Jam Beramai-ramai at the forum!). Details of events will be put up at the homepage.
Do I have to join to access all sections of JamTank?
No, but you will have to join to post at the Urbanity forum.
Do band members actually moderate their own forums?
Yes! Currently we have members from Love Me Butch, Subculture, Damn Dirty Apes, Tempered Mental, Flatline and Fallen Leaves moderating their own forums.
Can my band have its own forum at JamTank?
If you ask nicely enough, we will consider it. It really depends how ‘happening’ your forum is going to be. We cannot afford to spare webspace to every band that asks us, so please understand. But we try hard to please.
What’s this ‘online jamming’ thing that has been going around?
One of the eventual features of JamTank involves collaboration between musicians performed online. Discussions on this feature is now going on at the Recording forum.We will keep you posted on this.

Can you review my demo?
We strive to review everything we receive - but we cannot possibly promise that we are able to give ample publicity to everyone. Send in your demo, or email us. We will create an FTP account for you to upload your stuff to us.
